In line with to the attitude of its forefathers, Harel Mallac has at heart the social integration of all Mauritians in the country’s development. Since its creation in 2009, the Fondation Harel Mallac supports committed non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working with children in need and promoting alternative schooling and education.
The Fondation Harel Mallac’s main NGOs partners in 2016 were Ecole Sainte Famille (Bois Marchand), SOS Children’s Village (Bambous), College Technique Saint Gabriel (Tranquebar) and APEIM (Port Louis).
For a Better Environment
Because we believe that we owe it to the future generations, Harel Mallac is committed to pursuing its business, while paying close attention to the adverse impact it can have on its natural environment. It also does so by sourcing for its consumers evermore sustainable and greener products.
Besides the certification of some of the Group’s companies to environmental standards, Harel Mallac has embraced the turn towards alternative energy production with solar panels on its buildings in Bois Marchand, Pailles and a full-fledged photo-voltaic plant in Mont Choisy since November 2016.
For a Better Business
Because Harel Mallac was built with a dual heritage – of conducting successful business while ensuring a better future for the Mauritian community - ethics remain at the core of all its business dealings. Everything we do must be aligned with our ethical standards and the laws of the countries in which we operate.
With the help of Transparency International (Mauritius), we have published our new Code of Ethics in 2017. This document sets out our commitment to our stakeholders and the standards of behaviour to which all of us at Harel Mallac must adhere.
